The Gellions

Head back across the bridge staying on the down river side of the road and continue towards the highstreet. and listen for the music.

Gellions is THE oldest pub in Inverness and dates back to 1841 and is named, as was the practice then, after the licensee who was a woman. Live music every night, can get a bit cramped but the atmosphere is good and worth going just for the craic.

When you're ready, have a read of the blue plaque outside ...what was the name of the hotel across the road ?
